Kira E. Taylor

Lawyer

Kira is passionate about asserting and advancing her clients interests and proudly offers all of her services in English and French. Kira specializes in the areas of wills, trusts and estates.

Kira obtained a B.A. (Hons.) in Philosophy and Political Science as well as certificates in Law and Social Thought and Bilingual Excellence from York University’s French campus, Glendon College. She then went on to complete her legal education at the University of Ottawa, in their Common Law French program.

Following her schooling, she dedicated herself to the improvement and advancement of the legal profession and has contributed to that objective through her work with the Ontario Bar Association, where she serves as Member of Council. Before opening her own law firm, Kira articled with a longstanding and well-respected full-service bilingual law firm in Ottawa.

To support upcoming legal professionals, Kira lends her knowledge and time to coach and judge mock trials. She also enjoys teaching part-time with the Collège Boréal, where she instructs aspiring Law Clerks in French.

A point of pride for Kira is her work with the Council of Women Against Sex Trafficking in York Region (CWASTYR), of which she is a founding member. As part of her work, she volunteers her time to advocate for policies aimed at protecting children and young adults in our communities from sexual exploitation.

When not hard at work advancing her client’s interests, Kira can be found hiking, biking, and taking in the vast and beautiful Canadian wilderness.
